This a common misconception in people’s mind that government jobs are low salary aspect. This was matter of past. Now after the revision of pay scale by the sixth pay commission the salaries have gone up right from the peon to that of politician in government structure.
Applicants may have lots of money to give bribe
The common mindset among the people regarding getting a job in government is that one has to bribe a lot in order to get the job they want. This is not fully true nor is it fully wrong. People may have to bribe sometimes to get the job but it is not that for every job we have to pay bribe. Consider for example an IAS post many students compete and go through a tough exam process and those clearing the exams only are eligible to get that coveted post.
Government jobs have lots of competition
This is also a popular misconception that for government jobs we have to face lots of competition. Though government jobs comes with a job security yet the pay scale is not that high when compared to private firms and it is also very difficult to get government jobs so many people migrate to private firms where the salary offered is quite high and the perks received is almost above par in comparison to the government jobs.
I have no luck to get government job
This doesn’t hold true in every aspect. Though it is true that everyone cannot get a government job yet it doesn’t mean you are unlucky. There are some criteria for every government job one does from age to qualification. Falling short in any of this will narrow your chances. But those who do fulfill the criteria many a times get the job on clearing exam process. You just need to be focused to your goals.
Less financial freedom – No – now salary are going up
The financial freedom is almost at par with government job when compared to private jobs. The salary too has been raised after following the recent sixth pay commission. The employees are now more free financially as they have more money at their disposal and hence they are financially free. They just need an effective plan so that their earning to can generate revenue.
One failure is an end
If You have previously been rejected for government job, it’s useless to apply for another: This is really a stupid misconception. The reason to call it stupid is that once you if you have been rejected then you know the reason for your rejection. So, you have time to redress the problem in you. Next time you are more prepared and have more chance to get selected as you have already gone through the same process, and in fact there is no limit to the number of application you can make for a job.
